Story:
Dharma ( Sai Kumar), Siva ( Subbaraju), Teja (Ashish Vidyardhi), Kailash
(Brahmaji) and Siddhu (Krish) are business partners and close friends.
They trade in illegal blackmarket stuff. One fine day, inspector Kalyan
(Ravi Babu) offers them a lucrative deal, which can make them very rich.
To fulfill the deal, they need to raise 5 Crores. They entrust the cash
to Shiva and task him with the delivery. But this is where jealousy
rears its ugly head. Siddhu decides to steal the 5 Crores from Shiva and
almost succeeds in the process. But things go horribly wrong in the
process. People start getting killed. Members of the group start
suspecting each other and Kalyan comes into the picture, to find out the
culprit. What happens in the end?? Who is the main villain? Will Kalyan
find out the culprit? That forms the rest of the story.
Plus Points:
There a number of talented actors in the film like Sai Kumar, Brahmaji,
Ashish Vidyardhi and Roja. They have done a good job and they have tried
their best to liven up the proceedings. For about 20 minutes before the
interval, the film picks up good pace and engages the viewers. But that
is about it.
Minus Points:
The movie is a poor remake of the Bollywood film. While the basic plot
has been taken from Johnny Gadar, the execution is pretty bad. Krish
needs to improve a lot as an actor if he is serious about an acting
career. The actress who essayed the role of Twinkle is really bad.
Except for about 20 minutes before the interval, the film’s pace is very
slow. Scenes are unnecessarily prolonged. The movie also becomes
extremely predictable in the second half. None of the songs help the
film. The item song that comes just before the climax is extremely
irritating. Entertainment quotient in the film is almost zero.
Irrespective of A, B and C centers, all sections of viewers will find it
quite boring.
Technical Aspects:
inematography is just about average. Editing is quite poor and a lot of
unnecessary scenes are present in the film. Dialogues are poor. Music
and background score are quite poor. Lakshmikanth Chenna’s direction
leaves a lot to be desired. He fails to make a positive impact.
Production values are very mediocre.
Verdict :
Kameena’ is a poor remake of a critically acclaimed Bollywood film.
Except for the presence of a few seasoned actors, there is nothing in
this movie for viewers. You can safely skip this film
