The plot is not something out
of the box, a tale of vengeance and finding justice for the lost ones,
and in this case Ajith's friend Rana is the victim who loses his life in
a lethal battle between the baddies. Ajith is furious when he comes to
know the death of his pal is all because of the low quality bullet proof
vest and he sets about to find out the who's-and -what's of it. As he
sets about to seek revenge, what he encounters through the journey is a
simple one liner on what this movie is all about.
Through the first half we are
made to ponder who Ajith is and his modus operandi, and the screenplay
sort of drags through the style quotient. The man is mass and there is
no doubt about it, the body language he carries through the movie is
phenomenal. He joins Nayanthara and kidnaps hacker Arya to find out some
leads. In a way the movie gets a little predictable as the flashback
reveals the story behind the vengeance.
Arya as the hacker is a fun
riot and the introduction scene as a college student brings the floor
down with laughter. He is quite comfortable in his role of a hacker and
there are no qualms whatsoever on his role. Tapsee playing the love
interest of Arya and she has little to offer through the script. Ajith
kidnaps her to get the help of Arya and that's about it.
So the gang of tech savvy
style quoted guys set about to seek revenge and bring justice, and do
they succeed in their mission? That is to watch and find out. The film
undoubtedly rides high on Ajith's shoulders and the mass, style which he
exhibits is amazing. The salt and pepper look gives him the awe
inspiring look and brings amazing connect to the movie, thanks to the
director for putting paramount belief. Nayan is yet again the modish gal
and she deserves applause on her roles as well. And as mentioned
earlier, Arya is cool and suave looks his usual best with his comic
timings. The rest of the cast is adequate and do justice to their roles
with appropriate performances.
Vishnu and Subha have come up
with rather a done and dusted storyline, but as usual the screenplay is
the key. Few of the scenes move snail paced but when you watch it as a
whole the pace is strong and swift. Yuvan's music is trend setting and
he gives a fitting BGM for the style soaked movie, the songs are
superbly carved. And the visuals by Om Prakash is a wonder too, the
songs, the action sequences all seem to be uplifted with a chic feel.
Ergo, a movie that Ajith fans
would love to watch it all over again and if you are not an Ajith fan
you would love it for the style and screenplay!
