Actress Anjali Devi Passes Away


One more Artist from telugu industri  Anjali Devi passed away on Monday at a private hospital in Chennai. She was 86. She is said to be died due to age-related ailments.

Born in 1928 in Peddapuram of East Godavari district, Anjali Devi made her acting debut with a short role in Raja Harishchandra, followed by a lead role in L.V Prasad's Kasthajeevi and never looked back since then. She is revered as iconic actress. She is well-known for role Sita Devi in 1963 classic Lava Kusa. Besides from mythological films, she was also part of folklore, social films. She received accolades for her performances in Suvarna Sundari and Anarkali.

Her filmography also includes several Tamil and Kannada films. Anjali Devi even turned into producer and produced films like Anarkali and Bhakta Tukaram. South Indian film industry, who recently completed 100 years, is mourning her death.

Anjali Devi has donated organs and for that her body will remain in hospital for two days. Anjali Devi's body will be cremated on Wednesday. Tamilnadu Governer Rosayya, CM Jayalalitha and many other film celebrities have expressed their heartfelt condolences to the family.
